First Jack the Ripper game details sneak out

Submitted by Matt Jackson on October 7, 2009 – 12:00 pmNo Comment

Jack the Ripper will be an anti-hero of sorts apprentlyThe first details have emerged on Visceral Studio’s Ripper game based on the 19th century serial killer. Apparently ‘The Ripper’ will see Jack portrayed as a hero.

Jack the Ripper remains one of the most notorious, murderous figures in British history but according to Destructoid sources The Ripper only indulges in a bit of blood-lust in order to save lives.

Rather than murdering prostitutes for the fun of it The Ripper is a “supernatural slayer” protecting others from Vampires, demons and other nasties using a pic ‘n’ mix of weapons and his ability to slow down time said the source.

Could it set a new trend with history’s most evil cast as misunderstood saviours of the universe? Probably not.

Publisher EA Visceral Games has yet to reveal further details. We’ll bring you more when we hear them.
