Microsoft removes Facebook, Twitter release date from UK site

Microsoft removes Facebook, Twitter release date from UK siteIt looks like the November 17 release date for the Xbox 360’s Facebook and Twitter service really was leaked prematurely. Microsoft has now removed the date from its site.

Over the weekend Microsoft’s UK Xbox site revealed an online ad promoting its much touted Xbox 360 and Twitter skills, announcing its release for 17th November in the UK.

The date has since been taken down and replaced with a “Services launches Autumn 2009″ message.

It either throws the social features release date into doubt or it was an accidental slip. It was quite possibly the latter but we’ll bring you word when we hear more. Keep an eye out.

Be sure to hit up our own Twitter page.
