Infinity Ward rubbishes fresh delay rumour

Submitted by Stephen Ebert on October 13, 2009 – 12:08 pmNo Comment

Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling shoots down another rumourAn MSN conversation purporting to show Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling tell someone that Modern Warfare 2 won’t arrive on deadline has been branded a fake.

The alleged chit chat shows Robert Bowling tell a mischievous meddler that “the team is struggling to meet the deadline…worst case scenario is the game being delayed till early December…”

Rest assured. It’s a fake. Bowling himself confirmed as much via his Twitter page along with a snapshot of said fake chatterings.

“RUMOR SMASH. Rest your fears, this “convo” with me is fake. Never happened, isn’t true, Fake convo is fake,” he Tweeted.

Modern Warfare 2 will arrive on November 10th as planned. Not December. The PC release still appears to be up in the air though.

It’s not the first time Infinity Ward have denied crazy rumours. The developer earlier slammed rumours of a multiplayer subscription service.
