Shigeru Miyamoto drops Wii HD hintChatting about high definition graphics Nintendo ledge’ Shigeru Miyamoto said that future Nintendo titles will move along with technology. Wii HD?

Next to the Xbox 360 and PS3’s HD graphics some of the Wii’s games look like they’ve been hacked at with sandpaper.

But Nintendo and Miyamoto in particular have been all about the experience rather than giving gamers an eye test.

A Wii HD has been strongly rumoured. And while Miyamoto did nothing to confirm such rumours he hinted that the next Nintendo hardware will have a little more graphical muscle.

“I don’t think there’s anything wrong with pretty graphics, and if I’m a consumer that has an HDTV, I’d want to be able to play my games with nice graphics too”, Miyamoto said

“And I think as we’ve seen the penetration rates for HDTV increase, we’re going to see video games and Nintendo’s games move along in step with the progression of technology.”

Nintendo was earlier rumoured to be bringing out a new Nintendo handheld more powerful than the DSi. Nintendo called it “rumour and speculation.”
