Epic Mickey exposed in magazine scan

Submitted by Stephen Ebert on October 16, 2009 – 1:07 pmOne Comment

Epic Mickey scan hits webAhead of its big reveal a magazine scan has revealed the first ever Epic Mickey in-game images. And it looks like Mickey’s gone back to his retro roots.

The scan reveals a very 1920’s looking Mickey Mickey in various states of pose along with a peep at some of the darkened worlds he’ll be looking to return to their former technicolor glory.

It’s looking a lot brighter than previous dystopia-resembling glimpses of the game have suggested.

The Wii-exclusive sees players use the Wii remote to paint in buildings, erase obstacles and swipe away cartoon baddies.

Just a side note, the purple location is meant to be It’s a Small World, which is why it looks bright and flat.

The rides will be accessed through a hub area, and there’s a pretty good chance that the hub world will be looking a lot like what we saw in the concept art.

Besides, how long ago was that art made? You all knew Disney was going to tone down the game, it still looks like a first-day buy to me.
