PlayStation Video Store arrives todaySony’s taken the covers off its video service offering movie streaming, downloads and eye-popping HD rentals ready to zap to PS3 consoles. And its available from today!

The virtual movie vendor, otherwise known as the PlayStation Network Delivery Service will offer 2,000 films from the go in high and standard definition  to rent from (from €1.99) or purchase (from €7.99).

Naturally films can be zapped straight to the PS3 or transported onto PSPs for portable star-gazing. Among the titles initially on offer are Angels and Demons, Bruno, Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen and lots more, with others to follow.

Movie rentals means the video will be yours for 14 days, but once you hit play you’ll have just 48 hours to keep watching the content. Users will find the video store in the PS3’s media bar in the video section.

It’s available in France, Germany, Spain and the UK, with other Euro regions to follow in 2010.
