Microsoft is set to tease yet more Project Natal deets this February when the Microsoft Gamefest conferences take place.

Microsoft will host conferences in London, Seattle and Japan. But for many it’ll be the Seattle event that could prove most appealing.

According to the Gamefest website Microsoft will “explore the depths” of the Xbox 360 motion tech. The description for the Natal Technical track reads:

“Join us to learn how to develop world-class titles using ‘Project Natal’, which provides many exciting new features that can be challenging to programmers.

“In the ‘Project Natal’ Technical track, we will walk you through how to overcome these challenges with a combination of classic techniques and new thinking. We will explore the depths of this exciting technology and dive deep into gesture recognition, avatar retargeting, speech recognition, advanced raw stream processing, handling different player environments, and many other topics. No controller required!”

There will also be a design track where attendees will discover “best practices and what makes the “magic” in a “Project Natal” game.

Hopefully more details will slip out by the time February rears its head.
