Pre-order Heavy Rain, get free Heavy Rain Chronicles DLC
Those looking forward to the release of Heavy Rain will have yet another incentive to pre-order the interactive thriller in the form of free DLC available only to those who snap it up early.
Those who pre-order the game its makers hope will revolutionize video game storytelling from selected retailers will receive the first batch of downloadable content for the game titled, ‘Heavy Rain: Chronicle One – The Taxidermist” free-of-charge.
“The Taxidermist will feature investigative journalist Madison Paige in one of her first cases tracking down a serial killer,” says Sony. For those familiar (or not) with the game’s progress it’s an expansion to the demo of the game that appeared when the game was first shown off.
For those fearful of being locked out of content before the game arrives Sony informs that each Chronicle features events before and after the events of the full game itself.
The offer was announced on the U.S PlayStation Blog but hopefully Europe and other regions will benefit from the free DLC dose. Each episode has been valued at $4.99, so UK readers can expect to pay similar in the Queen’s English coins.
Sony also promises (see in the comments at the link below) to announce the game’s release date “soon.”
