PS3 motion controller gets autumn 2010 delay

PS3 motion controller gets autumn 2010 delaySony’s PS3 motion controller, which will apparently be called “Arc” is getting delayed till Autumn 2010. It’s for the best, says Sony.

Sony’s glowball-toting waggle stick was originally planned for a March 2010 release but it seems Sony has had a change of heart – choosing to delay the controller till Autumn.

According to Sony it’s because the company wants to release the controller when enough compatible games will be available for it.

SCE boss Kaz Hirai said via a press release it’ll release in “fall 2010 when we will be able to offer an exciting and varied line-up of software titles that will deliver the new entertainment experience to PS3 users.”

That can only be a good thing for gamers. Sony will be determined to make sure gamers can get the most out of the controller at launch. Sony has already listed some of the first games to use the controller in a list revealed earlier.

PS3 Motion Controller
Out: Autumn 201o
Cost: £TBA
