New Assassin’s Creed heading for Rome

Submitted by Matt Jackson on February 9, 2010 – 6:40 pmNo Comment

New Assassin's Creed heading for RomeUbisoft has let slip new details on the next Assassin’s Creed game. And it looks like stab-happy period protagonist Ezio will soon be ditching the soggy town of Venice for the Eternal City of Rome in the next Assassin’s Creed game, the publisher has confirmed.

Ubisoft dropped the info at an investors call today where it said main character – Ezio will be hitting right at the heart of the Templars at their Rome headquarters. So it’s not a completely new adventure as previously thought.

Word is it’ll pack an “assassination mode” where players can compete against their online buddies.

And it could arrive as soon as this year! More info as we hear it.
