God of War III epilogue DLC “would be free”

Submitted by Joe Lee on March 15, 2010 – 10:32 pmNo Comment

In more ways than one God of War III is one of the biggest PS3 games to hit the console, with its massive scale and even bigger boss battles. It was so big in fact, that the game’s developers had to trim a few bits from it. Bits that one day might arrive as free downloadable content. Yes, free!

Speaking to Kotaku, the game’s director Stig Asmussen said there was “a pretty large thing that we chopped from the ending” that the development team initially had regrets about.

There was also a mammoth titan battle that unfortunately had to be cut as the game already had so much. Thankfully it might not be consigned to the drawing board. It could even arrive on the PlayStation Network as free DLC.

“As far as DLC goes, it might be something we might think about getting out there someday,” Asmussen told Kotaku. “The pieces are in place, the idea is written. If it’s something we put out there it would be something that would be free.”

How about that? Free DLC for arguably the PS3’s most awaited game. Sweet. Hit the link below for the full interview.
