Metal Gear Solid Peace WalkerHideo Kojima announced Metal Gear: Peace Walker calling it a “true Metal Gear sequel, not a spinoff.” In fact it’s the sequel to Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

We already knew that Metal Gear Solid title along with its name was coming to the PSP before Sony’s E3 press conference but gamers will delighted to know that Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is a “true” sequel to full sequel to Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima took to the stage to say so himself, saying he and his team was responsible for writing the script.

“Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker features original game design, story and scenario by Hideo Kojima. Scheduled to launch in 2010, the game takes the series in an exciting new direction with its incredible visuals and its unique new game system designed specifically with the PSP in mind,” say Konami.
