BioShock 2 multiplayer features revealed
2k has released a bunch of details about BioShock 2’s multiplayer mode. It’s sounds like a whole new game in itself.
BioShock 2’s multiplayer will take players to the world of Rapture pre devastation where players will take on the role of a Plasmid test subject. It promises to make BioShock fans look at Rapture in a whole new way.
During multiplayer mode players will be participating in the civil war that led to Rapture’s downfall. Not a bad excuse to shoot fellow sea dwellers up.
Gamers can earn experience points giving access to new weapons, Plasmids and Tonics with hundreds of different combinations, letting players develop their own unique character.
Some of the “iconic” locations found in the mode will include the “Kashmir Restaurant and Mercury Suites, all of which have been reworked from the ground up for multiplayer”.
The multiplayer mode has not been developed by 2K, but by Digital Extremes, who 2K say Digital Extremes. A company that 2K say “brings more than 10 years of first person shooter experience including development of award-winning entries in the Unreal and Unreal Tournament franchise.”
BioShock 2 will be coming to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in the UK on October 3oth, with a U.S release dated for November 3rd.
