The Sims 3 tops UK chartThe Sims 3 was destined to get PC gamers snapping it up in a frenzy and that’s how it’s turned out with the EA title claiming the fourth biggest opening week ever for a PC title.

Another newcomer in the form of Red Faction: Guerilla has to settle with second place after losing out the The Sims 3, meaning UFC: Undisputed gets knocked down to third.

EA Sports Active and fellow gamerciser Wii Fit occupy fourth and fifth respectively while the so-called electrifying and pretty decent inFamous drops to sixth place after it debuted to fifth place last week.

Pokemon Platinum dropped to seventh followed by Guitar Hero: Metallica dropping four places to eighth with Virtua Tennis 2009 and Terminator Salvation taking spots nine and ten.

Here’s the top ten in full:

  1. The Sims 3
  2. Red Faction: Guerilla
  3. UFC: Undisputed
  4. EA Sports Active
  5. Wii Fit
  6. inFamous
  7. Pokemon Platinum
  8. Guitar Hero: Metallica
  9. Virtua Tennis 2009
  10. Terminator Salvation
