Nintendo DS to be used as teaching aids

Nintendo DS to be used as teaching aidsThanks to Dr. Kawashima the Nintendo DS has made the world’s gamers that bit smarter. Now the handheld is being used as a helpful tool for school teachers in Japan.

According to Famitsu Sharp Systems has launched a Nintendo DS tool enabling teachers to zap assignments to their pupils wirelessly, with students able to send back their answers to their teachers DS to be marked.

Before anyone thinks of taking up teaching Japan, the teachers are only able to use it as an educational tool to plan lessons and as a visual aid.

According to Gamezine it looks like owning a Nintendo DS will be a requirement in the participating school. Not every parent will be able to afford one though. Maybe the government can start a free DS initiative. That’ll get kids learning.
