Rumour: New Michael Jackson game incoming

Submitted by Stephen Ebert on June 22, 2009 – 12:00 pm2 Comments

Rumour: New Michael Jackson game incomingRumours are abounding that moonwalking maestro Michael Jackson will appear in a brand new fully licensed video game of his own on top of the star’s London concerts.

According to Dutch site 9 Lives MJJ Productions is conjuring up a new game starring the Smooth Criminal himself, and judging from a sketchy translation of the site it will feature a range of tracks from Jacko’s illustrious career.

If true it won’t be the first time that the King of Pop will have starred in his own game.

Back in 1990 he starred in the Sega Mega Drive classic Moonwalker, which was largely based on the movie of the same name with a superb soundtrack featuring 16-bit versions of ‘Smooth Criminal”, “Beat It”, “Bad” and loads more.

Following on from his star turn in a video game the singer’s also made brief cameo appearances in Ready 2 Rumble: Revolution and Space Channel 5.

The new title, according to the rumour will be shuffling to the Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 in time for Christmas.
