PSP go to get “non-gaming applications”
Earlier this month developers suggested that the PSP go will get “non-game apps,” now Sony’s PR team has officially confirmed an opportunity for “non-gaming applications.”
Sony PR fellow Al De Leon was speaking to CNET of the new handheld talking about the features that make it different from previous models before hinting that there will be scope for “non-gaming applications.”
During E3 Sony announced that the cost of the development tools for the PSP will drop, which will not just come as welcome news to game developers, but other devs too.
“The goal with that is to enable all sorts of developers to be able to develop content for the PSP, it will mostly be games but there’s certainly an opportunity to look at some non-gaming applications,” the Sony rep said.
