New Resident Evil: Afterlife film coming to theaters in 2010It has been confirmed that a new Resident Evil movie will be coming next year, with Sony looking to get the next Resi film installment into theaters by September 17, 2010.

Last year director Paul W.S Anderson revealed he was writing another film project, with Capcom also on board, so it’s no real surprise then that it’s turned out to be another Resident Evil flick.

The film’s alleged September 17, 2010 release date, which was leaked in an internal memo has also been confirmed by Sony.

No word on whether model/actor Mila Jovovich will return though.

[Update: Mila Jovovich will be in the film]
