THQ to punish UFC 2009’s online quitters
THQ will release a patch to punish pesky players that quit UFC 2009 online matches halfway by awarding them a loss and setting their winning streak to zero.
UFC 2009: Undisputed producer Nven Dravinski said online quitters is the game’s “biggest online issue.” And rightly so, nobody loves an online quitter.
But rather than let them get away with it THQ’s releasing a patch that will award such players with a ‘Loss’, ‘Did Not Finish’ flag and have their winning streak set to zero. Thankfully only the quitting player will be affected.
Other changes in the upcoming patch will include adjusted Ranked Matches to match up players with better connections, adjusting the difficulty of performing submissions against AI players and the fixing of a bug on the PS3 version that caused freezing during auto-save.
