UK console sales: Nintendo outselling the competitionThe Nintendo Wii has outsold all other consoles in the UK shifting up to 800,000 units since January, while the DSi is selling at a faster rate than the DS or DS Lite did.

The Nintendo DSi has now sold 370,000 here in the UK giving it a faster sell-rate in its first four months than both the DS and DS Lite.

The figures were released after initial confusion, so we’ve been assured all figures for Nintendo’s UK sales are correct.

The DS Lite is still Nintendo’s hightest selling platform having sold 7.5 mllion units ahead of the 5.5 million sales of the Wii.

Here’s a breakdown of sales for each Nintendo platform in the UK:

Wii: 5.5 million
DS: 1.6 million
DS Lite: 7.5 million
DSi: 375,000
