Dante's Inferno good/evil gameplay mechanic detailedEA has just shown off one of the gameplay mechanics for Dante’s Inferno and how players can condemn their enemies or save them from hell.

The righteousness gameplay mechanic will let players absolve or punish characters by following either a righteous  path or an unholy path.

Absolve characters involves sending them to heaven in a blaze of bright light. Punishing players will inflict a brutal act upon them. one of the brutal acts just shown at Gamescom involves shoving spikes into enemies heads and splitting them apart for an unholy condemnation to hell.

Each act refelcts on Dante’s abilities throughout the game, with holy acts upgrading certain attacks and vice versa.

According to EA Europe will be able to “go to hell” on Feb 12th, with North America “going to hell” on February 9th 2010.

Dante’s Inferno
