DSi-only games on the way says Nintendo

Submitted by Matt Jackson on September 1, 2009 – 3:32 pm2 Comments

DSi-only games on the way says NintendoNintendo has revealed that the first batch of DSi-only titles will be playable at this years Game Developers Conference, with the games ready for release this autumn.

The new titles will only be playable on the Nintendo DSi. Not the DS or DS Lite and will be packaged differently from DSi titles so as not to get gamers all confused, Nintendo’s Masato Kuwahara told Kotaku.

Whether the new games will take advantage of the DSi’s new tech for better graphics and sound remains to be seen, but expect new titles to take advantage of the DSi’s camera.

Nintendo has already released DSi titles on DSiWare such as WarioWare Snapped! but has yet to announce retail titles specific to Nintendo’s latest handheld.
