Guitar Hero 5 beats off The Beatles to UK top spotThe Beatles have seen something of a mini revival in recent weeks but the fab four’s game was beaten to the UK number one by Guitar Hero 5.

In fact The Beatles: Rock Band had to make do with a fourth placing in the UK all-formats chart after another new entry, Colin McRae: Dirt 5 nipped in ahead of it and Batman: Arkham Asylum for second place.

Wii games Wii Fit and Wii Sports Resort make up the fifth and sixth spots ahead of World War II plane shooter IL2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey ahead of the resurgent Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

The ever-strong Mario Kart Wii and Ashes Cricket 2009 prop up the table. The latter having dropped five places to tenth amid recent releases.

Here’s the UK top ten games in full:
