A new Ghost Recon in 2023 besides Frontline? News @VGR

According to several sources, following the discontinuation of Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Ubisoft is already working on a new game in the series, in addition to its free-to-play Battle Royale.

Whereas Ghost Recon Breakpoint was stopped by Ubisoft, in particular because of the big controversy around NFTs, the game of which was the first full-scale test for the brand, the studio indicated in the process focus on the future, and everyone was thinking Ghost Recon Frontline in particularthe next Free-to-play battle royale set in the Tom Clancy universe.

But according to sources cited by Kotakuthe Paris branch of the studio is already working on a new addition to the Ghost Recon series. Under the code name OVER, this title had already been unveiled in the Nvidia files leak in September 2021, and a very large part of the unannounced titles discovered at the time were finally made official.

According to these same sources, development has been underway for at least a year and could arrive in fiscal year 2023, which is after October 2022. For its part, GR Frontline did not obtain the favors of the public during its beta phases, forcing Ubisoft to revise its strategy a little and to postpone the initial announcement. However, a release date should be announced soon.
