The new-gen Cyberpunk 2077 update release on PS5 and Xbox Series is expected to arrive very soon. A first image has been discovered on this patch which should add a lot of content.
Still expected for the coming months without further details, Cyberpunk 2077 PS5/Xbox Series could happen very quickly, if we are to believe the now traditional PlayStation Game Size twitter account, which discovered on the servers of Sony’s console the official thumbnail of the game.
The version update should arrive during the first quarter (so before the end of March) on PS5 and Xbox Series. The same image has also been spotted in the Steam files for the PC version which should update soon as well. We probably have here the visual that will be used for this big update 1.5, which will also benefit the current versions (PC, PS4 and Xbox One).
Recent leaks indicate that CD Projekt are expected to announce the official date and some of the content in February during a stream called “Cyberpunk 2077: Samurai Edition”. That’s pretty good, on the flushed image, we can see V from behind with a Samurai jacket. The patch will then be scheduled for release in early March.
According to a journalist from Forbes, this update would act as a new launch for the game after the marketing flop of its first release. The studio would have planned a huge overhaul, a complete rebalancing, better AI, a new interface and several additions such as new weapons or a New Game+ mode. Without really denying it, CDPR’s communications director commented, however, that “it doesn’t fit”.
This thing does not add up. Sorry, Paul.
