NFTs and the metaverse are not the only evolutions expected in the digital worlds of tomorrow, we must also rely on haptic products.

the CES 2022 (Consumer Electronics Show), the new edition of the world’s largest exhibition dedicated to innovations, will open its doors January 5-8 in Las Vegas. This will be the opportunity for Actronika to present his Skinetic haptic vest.

The French company has, of course, already unveiled this during the SIDO Paris, the event dedicated to IoT, IA, XR and robotics technologies, held on November 9 and 10 last, but it will undoubtedly have a much greater visibility here.

In order to make virtual reality even more immersive by feeling the interactions realistically in VR thanks to the force feedback, Actronika’s Skinetic haptic jacket promises to take a new step forward.

With its 20 vibrotactile coil motors, it aims to reproduce in the real world the sensations of the virtual world (touch, shock, pressure …). L’completeness of human vibrotactile perception is supposed to be covered in this way, at least at the level of the torso.

Tactile illusions are still very flat. We decided to take this technology from black and white to color! (Gilles Meyer, CEO of Actronika)

But beware, we’re not talking about futuristic technology that your grandchildren will see here, but something that you can try your hand at soon. Indeed, the pre-orders should be started via a Kickstarter campaign since the March 22, 2022.
