On the occasion of the upcoming release of its new update, Space Punks will offer an open beta of gameplay improvements, starting April 20.

An open beta for Space Punks, the new sci-fi shooter from Jagex and Flying Wild Hog, will be offered on PC on April 20 through the Epic Games Store. The Polish developer has announced the date of this beta, a new step in the continuous development of the multiplayer free-to-play game that we tested last July.

The quirky A-RPG set in an “irreverent” fantasy world (says the release) lets you play as a hunter of fame and fortune who must complete perilous missions to make money. With this open beta, the studio will launch its new update “The Cracked One”where players can experience a gameplay overhaul for free:

Experience the overhaul of the main gameplay loop with improvements to the “Get-A-Job” and “Crafton 2000” systems. Likewise, new ‘end-game’ content will be made available with ‘The Crack’, a new endless experience, set in the depths of what appears to be a black hole. In this new adventure, four players can dive together to explore the unknown and reach infinity.

To support development, Jagex recalls that there are also a Founders Pack in two versions, including the Season 1 Battle Pass, additional content and cosmetics. For now, the game is still in early access for the founders.
