Based in North Ryde in the suburbs of Sydney, Aristocrat Leisure Limited is quite simply the largest slot machine manufacturer in Australia and one of the largest internationally.
It is currently in second place, just behind its main competitor International Game Technology (IGT).
Well, Aristocrat has just announced that it has agreed to acquire Roxor Gaming software that specializes in online casino games using a random number generator or RNG.
Aristocrat Leisure Limited group diversifies its activities
It was on Monday 26 September, through a press release, that the Aristocrat Leisure Limited group announced the news. At the moment, it is seeking to diversify its activities by increasing its presence in the online gaming sector. This is precisely why it has been looking closely at different software. In the end, they chose Roxor Gaming.
Even though the acquisition has just been announced, it is not yet effective. For it to become final, it must receive regulatory approvals from the relevant authorities. According to Aristocrat Leisure Limited, this is expected to happen in the first quarter of next year.
Unfortunately, the amount of the transaction has not been officially disclosed. However, it is known that it will be financed from existing cash. Thus, it should not have a significant impact on the group’s profits.

Roxor Gaming with long experience in the industry
It was during September 2019 that Roxor Gaming officially became a full-fledged online casino gaming software. Previously, the company was the subcontractor of Gamesys owned by Bally’s Corporation for over 20 years. Operating primarily in the UK and US markets, it employs over 100 dedicated professionals in the UK.
Within the game library offered by the publisher Roxor Gaming, there are already over 150 games under RNG. Among them, there are some traditional tables, scratch cards and video poker for example.
Nevertheless, slot machines are the most represented. The most famous ones are Secrets of the Phoenix, Double Bubble and Tiki Island among others.
Following the failed takeover of Playtech
It has been known for a long time that the Aristocrat Leisure Limited group wants to expand its activities in the field of online casino games. During the month of October 2021, it had announced its intention to buy the Playtech software for no less than 3.21 billion euros.
With this in mind, he had also set aside a lot of money. But the deal fell through because of opposition from a group of Playtech shareholders based in Asia. Instead, the Aristocrat Leisure Limited group decided to buy several smaller publishers. This was confirmed today with the announcement of the acquisition of Roxor Gaming.
