Visibly still alive, Beyond Good & Evil is once again facing movements within its staff.

Will be released, will not be released, we don’t know. But still, the highly anticipated Beyond Good & Evil 2 seems to be still in development in the premises of Ubisoft. While the French publisher is in the midst of spring cleaning and would have been entitled to a generous offer from Tencent, we learn today that a new recruit has just joined the ranks to work on Beyond Good & Evil 2.

A former Activision-Blizzard employee joins the dance

And this famous recruit is none other than Sarah Arellano who will take the chair of Lead Narrative Designer on the project. The artist, who worked at Activision-Blizzard (World of Warcraft) before going to Volition to lend his pen to Saint Row, so the reboot is expected soon.

Despite this new change in the studio, Beyond Good & Evil 2 remains extremely discreet and rarely gives us any sign of life. We don’t even know when the last official presentation of the software was and apart from nibbling on rumors here and there, we’ve had absolutely nothing concrete to put in front of us for a while.
The good news in all this is that obviously the development continues and that the game is not among the many projects cancelled by the Guillemot brothers. We just have to cross our fingers and hope to have some news soon.
