Blacktail, the action game inspired by the tale of Baba Yaga, showed itself again at Gamescom while specifying its release window.
Blacktail may not have been the title that spoke to the most people on the opening night of Gamescom 2022. However, we have good news for all those who have already taken a closer look at this production signed by The Parasight and Focus Entertainment.
the good witch, bad witch strategy
To summarize the concept if you are a little lost, Blacktail is an action-adventure game that puts you in control of Yaga, a young girl who has been accused of witchcraft by her village before being banished. The story of the software is greatly inspired by the legend of Baba Yaga. So get ready to discover a good part of Slavic folk culture and in particular its creatures.
Gameplay side, we find exploration and bow fights. At first glance, nothing really amazing and yet, there is a subtlety. Indeed, choices will be offered to you throughout the adventure. Depending on your decisions, you can become a benevolent witch at the service of the forest or a monster whose only objective is to ravage the place.
If your curiosity has been piqued, you don’t have long to wait to get your hands on the game. The software has indeed revealed that it will arrive in the course of next winter on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
