During a financial review, CD Projekt revealed the sales figures for its two titles: The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077. And it’s a real hit.
When it was released, Cyberpunk 2077 had quite a stir. These setbacks, however, did not prevent him from achieving impressive sales figures. At least, if we believe the words shared by the vice president and financial director of CD Projekt (Piotr Nielubowicz). This Thursday April 14he declared, in fact, during the development of the financial results of the company, that the title which made so much about him was distributed to 18 million copies worldwide. Which is not bad…
A well-deserved success according to Nielubowicz, given the potential that the game has in the “long term”:
We believe in the long-term potential of our latest game. That’s why one of our priorities for 2021 was to improve the gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077.
The Witcher: A License Worth Millions
As for The Witcher 3 – which won’t see its PS5 and Xbox Series versions arriving anytime soon – can boast of being an important piece of the Polish franchise: among the 65 million of The Witcher license sold, 40 million relate to this third opus. Which is a good omen for the next opus just announced.
