Despite being the latest FIFA title from EA Sports, FIFA 23 will see several big revolutions, including the arrival of Croatia in the national teams. We take a look at the future soccer game.

As you know, FIFA 23 will be the very last licensed title produced by Electronic Arts. Indeed, the studio has not renewed its contract with the international soccer federation and will continue its adventure in sports simulation with a future EA Sports FC. To mark the occasion, the studio seems to multiply the small revolutions. Already, the international cover will include two professionals (this is not new) but for the first time there will be a female soccer player on the cover. Other female players have been honored before, but only on covers from certain countries.

Next, two new commentators have been recruited for finally change the voices of the game. A logical decision since Pierre Menès had been fired by EA Sports following his legal problems. On the side of the teams too, FIFA 23 announces new features. Yesterday, we learned that Morocco would be for the first time in the title of EA Sports. Today, it is Croatia that makes its big return in the game. Finalists of the 2018 World Cup, the Croatian national team was very strangely absent from the roster since FIFA 19.

In fact, EA had to negotiate with the federations every year to get the rights and licenses for players and teams. The deal with Croatia didn’t seem to be financially feasible, which has left them out for the last four editions. Besides, the deal had been struggling for longer, since the country has only appeared in FIFA 18 in the last 10 years. The federation now announces: “the moment that many have been waiting for has come: Croatia is integrated into FIFA 23. See you on September 30 on PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox.
