While the director of CDPR has indicated that Cyberpunk 2077 will be considered by players in the future as a very good game, they are already starting to rate the effort positively.
It took a few months to see it but that’s it: the title of CD Projekt RED has become a cool game again. When it was released, the game had been strongly criticized by players (and had received a little review bombing too), we will not repeat the list of reasons for you, but it was deserved.
It turns out that in recent days, the opposite has been happening: The Polish RPG is receiving loads of positive reviews on Steam, which puts a little balm in the heart of the developer who released numerous patches this year to repair the damage. Despite everything, there will be no more until 2022 but that did not cool the pécéistes who made the game pass to the rank of “rather positive” from now on.
This flow of good vibes comes as the director Adam kicinski spoke with the Polish business daily Rzeczpospolita and indicated that he thought his game will be considered a “very good title” in the future.
Releasing a game in a new franchise comes with many challenges and risks, especially when the concept is so complex. We brought to life a huge and vibrant futuristic city, Night City, where the characters’ non-linear stories unfold.
We are proud of many aspects of the game, but as we know, not everything went as planned. Nonetheless, the awareness of the Cyberpunk brand that we have managed to build is huge, and the game universe, its characters and its details have fans all over the world.
We believe that in the long run Cyberpunk 2077 will be seen as a very good game and like our other titles it will sell for years, especially as the hardware becomes more and more powerful and as we improve the game.
To know what the game will look like on the new generation, however, it will be necessary to wait until 2022, date of the postponement of the PS5 and Xbox Series versions.
