Usually accessible on Steam for €9.99Dear Esther: Landmark Edition can now be approached without having to spend a single coin.

The narrative title developed by the English studio The Chinese Room is indeed available for free on the download platform. However, the offer – coinciding with the tenth anniversary of the work – is only exceptional and will therefore end this Wednesday, February 16 at 4 p.m..

The game sends players to an island of Outer Hebrides. And as they explore it, the narrator tells them excerpts from a letter: “Dear Esther…”.

This Landmark Edition, released in 2007offers a version of the game redone with the engine Unity as well as an audio remaster. A “comments” mode has also been added to the title.
