A few hours after allowing Warzone Mobile to appear in its database, a playtest site denied any knowledge of the existence of this title.
This Tuesday, we relayed the information from Tom Henderson concerning the appearance of a Call of Duty Warzone Mobile on a playtest platform, with a release scheduled according to him for 2022. If, however, it is very likely that Activision is working on a smartphone version of its famous Battle Royale, the platform in question contacted us to clarify that it had no information about this alleged game. In a message sent to the editorial staff, PlaytestCloud indicates that it was an error which has been corrected:
This was a false alert, the list of games in our registration form has no connection with the games tested on PlaytestCloud. Also, as the existence of this game has not yet been confirmed, we have removed it from the database. While we are also looking forward to future Call of Duty games, unfortunately we have no information on upcoming titles.
In series of tweets, the platform also confirmed that this was an error. Indeed, the site filled in its database, taking as a basis an article published on an American site at the beginning of the year, listing a series of highly anticipated mobile games, including for example the very real Apex Legends Mobile or PUBG New State but also the most supposed CoD Warzone Mobile.
