In a new update, Xbox now provides the possibility for owners of one of its consoles to use the voice function of Discord.
While Microsoft was struggling to acquire DiscordIt was finally PlayStation that put the bet on it last year. And so, various features of the application were made available to Sony consoles. Today, it is the players of the competing platforms that can look forward to a certain arrival: voice communication. Well, only some of them.
First the Xbox Insiders then the others
X ownersbox Series or Xbox One can now use Discord to communicate verbally with their friends (whether they are on Xbox, PC and mobile) via group conversations in particular. And, for this to be effective, there is only one thing to do: link your account to the console. Xbox tells you how to do it on Xbox Wire.
For now, only the Xbox Insiders Alpha and Alpha Skip Ahead members can access to this new feature. It will then be offered to the general public in the coming weeks.
