Released in early access during the month of April, Dune: Spice Wars reveals the next new features to come, including multiplayer.
Following the good start of Dune: Spice Wars and rave reviews, the developers at Shiro Games and lifted the veil on the next new features and new content expected for the continuation of early access. This roadmap reveals the next major additions, including a multiplayer modebut also the possibility of embodying a whole new faction yet undisclosed and the arrival new troops and units.
The multiplayer mode and the new people are expected during this summer without having a specific date. Updates Air & Sand and Heroes of Dune are also announced but will not be released until much later in the year. They will introduce new buildings and ships as well as new units. Of course, Shiro Games does not intend to stop there and will offer with each update, new features and content, in addition to those mentioned.
Dune: Spice Wars is a mix of 4X and RTS genres set in Frank Herbert’s universe. As the action takes place on the well-known planet Arrakisplayers must choose among one of the following factions: the Atreides, the Harkonnens, the Smugglers or the Fremen in order to conquer the planet and rule over the fundamental resource that is spice. They will also have the difficult task of taking on various roles and to show subterfuge in the fields of politics, economy but also military in order to govern Arrakis.
