Techland had teased it, it makes it official now: the new game plus is coming well in Dying Light 2 and this, from the next patch.

While Tymon Smektala, Lead Game Designer at Techland, implied it during an interview and the studio has finally confirmed the arrival of NG+. A feature requested and expected by a wide range of players.

Dying Light 2 patch 3 will be much bigger than the previous ones

The mode will arrive at the same time as the patch 3.0 which will be rolled out to all platforms before the end of the April 2022. Techland further asserts that the update will bring a lot of fixes for multiplayer, single player and stability. What will make it the biggest patch ever deployed so far.

Survivors, Our team is hard at work on Patch 3 for Dying Light 2 Stay Human. This will be one of the biggest fixes we’ve released so far. Along with numerous fixes for multiplayer and single player mode, it will also introduce a New Game+ mode. We plan to release the patch on all platforms by the end of this month. Full notes will be available once the update is live.

We are not going to be choosy since Dying Light 2, as fun as it is, is still dragging a lot of rather annoying problems on consoles and computer, especially in multiplayer. We just have to wait for the patch note which will be shared in the coming weeks.
