E3 2022 should take place online only

The organizer of the show would have finally decided: for the 2022 edition, a fully digital format would be planned, like last year.

According to indiscretions of Tom Henderson, who cites emails sent by the organizer ESRB to developers, the great American video game fair will take place this year “in digital format only”, once again. While Gamescom 2022 has only just announced its return to face-to-face in August, it seems that it is still too early to open the doors of the LA Convention Center

For the moment, the organizer has only confirmed one thing: the cancellation of its physical edition, without indicating whether the event will be purely and simply canceled or not. In the aftermath, the Summer Game Fest had been formalized.

This leak from Tom Henderson, however, confirms the rumors obtained since the beginning of the year: E3 should be back onlineafter a fairly bland 2021 edition that could blame the Covid for once, and a canceled 2020 version.
