Final Fantasy XIV is perhaps a huge success and one of the biggest MMORPGs of recent months, Final Fantasy XV is no slouch on the side of the franchise of Square Enix. While the 5th anniversary of the game arrives this Monday, the publisher has unveiled the updated figures for its latest RPG.
With 9.8 million units sold worldwide (in physical or digital), this opus should soon reach the top 3 of the most popular games of the saga. As a reminder, released in 2016 on PS4 and Xbox One, it finally joined PCs in 2018 and even Stadia in 2019.
Depending on the sources, Final Fantasy VII or Final Fantasy X (associated with X-2) are considered the best-selling games of the license, with between 13 and 15 million copies. Final Fantasy VIII, considered one of the best in the series, is between 9 and 10 million, while FF14 Online is played by over 10 million people around the world.
