It is Tetsuya Nomura himself who has just announced the news, Final Fantasy 7 will give news very soon to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the original game.

During a livestream focused on the battle royale Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldiers, Tetsuya Nomura spoke about Final Fantasy 7 and announced the imminent arrival of announcements around the game to celebrate the 25th anniversary of this cult episode.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 in the crosshairs?

Obviously, when we talk about Final Fantasy 7, the first thing that comes to mind is nothing other than the sequel to the excellent FF7 Remake released in April 2020. Awaited firmly by an army of fans, this Final Fantasy Remake Part 2 still hasn’t been revealed and we finally know nothing about it and if the hype is there, news of the game would not hurt. Moreover, Square Enix had already mentioned its desire to share new information during this anniversary year, the appointment given in June by Nomura would therefore be the perfect opportunity to give us a small overview of the software.

But if FF7 is celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Final Fantasy license is celebrating its 35th birthday. 2022 is therefore a particularly important year for the saga and it could therefore be that Final Fantasy 16 news slips among announcements due next June. After all, it might be time for it to reveal itself, since the software has been avoiding the spotlight for quite a while when it is expected for this year and its development is coming to an end. An appearance would therefore make sense, especially since Naoki Yoshida, producer of the game, had announced that a trailer would soon be unveiled and maybe even a release date.
