Former Evolution Studios Racing Games Director Joins PlayStation Firesprite Games Studio. To take care of the Twisted Metal reboot?
It is a winter transfer that seems to confirm some rumors obtained a little earlier this week. Indeed, the former director of the Driveclub and MotorStorm license games (at SIE via the Evolution studio), who was now Game Director at Lucid Games, has just changed positions. He joins the great PlayStation family and his Firesprite studio, in the same position, as can be read on his LinkedIn profile.
What seems to dawn, It’s the arrival of the Twisted Metal reboot project in the new PlayStation Studio. A few days ago, VGC indicated that Sony had canceled Lucid Games to pass the baby on to “another European first-party publisher”.
This arrival of Matt Southern within the creation of Firesprite could therefore have a direct link with this title.
That said, according to other sources, Lucid Games would never have been officially chosen by Sony, contenting itself only with being a support for creation, before being definitively discarded in favor of Firesprite, in-house developer, who can manage the reboot alone.
