It’s time for the financial report for Konami which also reveals its future projects, based on NFT in particular.

NFT over here, NFT over there. Non-fungible tokens are on everyone’s lips in the industry. Whether it’s to fight against – like the partner studios of Team 17 – to express interest, but nothing more – like Electronic Arts – or to throw yourself into it like Ubisoft, Nintendo and Konami.

It is moreover the latter which interests us today, since the Japanese publisher had not hidden his interest in NFT and had even had the idea of celebrating the 35th anniversary of Castlevania with it. And, if we believe the very official financial report of the parent company, it’s not over.

Indeed, after informing us that the company is doing quite well and recording a positive turnover for the end of 2021, we can see that Konami intends to extend its NFT proposals to other projects.

Thus, between a line indicating the progress of the development of a certain eBaseball Pawafuru Porowakyu 2022 and their goals for the year for a few mobile games, the following sentence can be read:

We will also sell NFTs in an effort to preserve content that has been loved by our customers as commemorative art.

It would therefore seem that Konami intends to bet once again on NFTs to “commemorate” its licensesin the manner of Castlevania so.

Now it remains to be seen when? How? ‘Or’ What? What licenses? and above all, why?

Incidentally, we can also see that the box will continue to improve its free-to-play eFootball 2022. And given the feedback on its release, there is still work to be done.
