To pay tribute to the legendary NFL coach who passed away recently, EA Sports has announced the return of John Madden on the cover of the next Madden NFL 23 in August.
Among the many games in the EA Sports catalog, we will soon no longer find football with FIFA (but with EA Sports FC), but we will always find the EA Sports Madden NFL, and the next installment Madden NFL 23 will be released on August 19. In memory of Coach Madden, legend of the sports league, EA has decided to put it back on the cover of the game.
For the first time in 20 years, the man who gave his name to the saga of American football games is back. Aaron McHardy, the game’s executive producerspecifies that the new playability of this title is also a tribute to the coach who had “imagined what would be the most realistic of all american football simulations at 11 against 11”.
This is how the game will bring the system FieldSENSE on PS5 and Xbox Series, allowing a new more precise control of the players on the field, with an impact on the general playability of this Madden NFL 23.
FieldSENSE leverages new technologies and mechanics for smooth gameplay and authentic results on the field. FieldSENSE’s animation technology enables the “Hit Everything”, a system that redefines the physical interactions of American football to allow every player to fight for every stretch of the field and change the outcome of a tackle. It also contains new mechanics such as 360 Cuts, which allows players to change direction in a flash while controlling the ball carrier, or Skill Based Passing, a new way to pass the ball with optimal control and dispatch it thus exactly at the desired location, with the desired power.
