Infinity Ward’s big FPS is finally showing gameplay from its single-player campaign during Summer Game Fest 2022 and the latter seems to be in the same vein as the first installment.
Activision and Infinity Ward are betting big on the next installment of their famous license, as well as on Warzone 2 which will be released shortly after MW2. So it’s time for promotion and what better than a bit of gameplay to make your mouth water?
An immersive action-packed campaign?
The campaign of the previous Modern Warfare was one of the highlights of the title at the time. Without changing the license formula, the developers had decided to get closer to reality by offering visually and morally strong sequences.
Modern Warfare 2 wants to go even further and Infinity Ward had announced that new technologies were used to make the whole thing visually “revolutionary”. However, this first gameplay sequence only shows us what is expected of a Call of Duty: a little bit of infiltration and gunfights that end in apotheosis.
As for the technique, we will wait to have the software in our hands to decide definitively, but thewe must admit that it is rather pretty.
As a reminder, Modern Warfare 2 will be released on PS5, Xbox Series, PC, PS4 and Xbox One on October 28th. Otherwise, beta phases are planned in the coming months and you can guarantee yourself early access to them by pre-ordering the game.
