Authorized from January 1, 2018 in the French capital, the gaming clubs replacing the old circles are still in the middle of an experimental phase.

Originally, this was to end in 2020. It was extended once until the end of 2022 and then a second time until December 31, 2024.

It is within the framework of this experimentation that 4 new games have just been authorized in Parisian clubs, namely: blackjack, craps, sic bo and bingo.

To give a boost to gambling clubs after the health crisis

Since the opening of the first gambling clubs in Paris, the range of authorized games has remained fairly limited. In fact, no slot machines, no video poker machines and no electronic games were allowed.

Everyone has to make do with a few traditional table games, some of which are known only to the initiated. Regularly, customers come to ask where the roulette or blackjack is located.

Some people leave these establishments immediately, when they learn that these classics are not available, which explains why they have a lot of trouble attracting new customers.

After the international Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic closed them down for several weeks, the French government decided to give gaming clubs a boost. This began with the authorization of multicolor, a table game reminiscent of roulette.

Then it just allowed them to offer 4 more games: blackjack, craps, sic bo and bingo. The decree was published in the Official Gazette on Tuesday, November 8 and became official the next day, Wednesday, November 9, 2022.

New circle and counterparty games

At present, there are no less than 8 gaming establishments in the French capital. Among them are the Paris Elysée Club, the Club Barrière and the Club Pierre Charron in the 8th arrondissement, the Impérial Club in the 13th and the Club Circus in the 16th.

All of them are authorized to offer ring games in which you play against other players, such as texas hold’em or omaha.

From now on, bingo is also allowed. Originating in North America, this lottery consists of filling in your grid first with numbers drawn at random.

In Parisian clubs, you can also play counter games in which you face a croupier, such as punto banco or ultimate poker.

From now on, 2 dice games are also accepted: craps, which is very popular in the United States, and sic bo, which is mainly successful in Asia.

As a bonus, Parisian clubs can also offer tables dedicated to blackjack. This card game is one of the most famous in the casino world. Our goal in a game is to make a hand that is stronger than the dealer’s, being careful not to go over 21.
