Mario, Zelda, Pokémon, and a few other surprises: Nintendo takes stock of the 55 home games that have passed the million mark on the hybrid console.

According to the CESA (Consumer Electronics Suppliers’ Association) database, Nintendo has shared its latest game sales figures, including units distributed for its Switch console through June 30, 2022. This obviously concerns first-party productions, therefore published by Nintendo. By gathering information, several Internet users have used the open data to reveal the list of titles that have now passed the million copies sold.

We discover 55 titles that have passed the mid-2022 mark including Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which is the undisputed champion with 46.8 million sales, including 1.49 in the last quarter alone. This is much more than Animal Crossing New Horizons (39.38M) or Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (28.82M). The top of the “million-sellers” is unsurprisingly dominated by Mario games (13 titles not counting its derivatives Luigi and Wario) and the usual licenses (Zelda, Pokémon, Xenoblade).

Finally, we can note that the very recent Mario Strickers: Battle League has sold 1.91 million copies so far, pushing it directly to 39th place. Two Fire Emblem games close the gap with the million mark reached a few years ago.
