The narrative game set in the Middle Ages is coming soon to Microsoft’s consoles but also to the Xbox Game Pass.

The latest from the development studio Obsidian Entertainment, Pentiment has just lifted the veil on its release date. Scheduled for the November 15the game will be available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Windows 10/11, Steam, Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. For the most impatient among you, it is possible to pre-order it today and pre-install it on the Game Pass to ensure you play it day one.

Pentiment plunges us into the 16th century at the time of the Holy Roman Empireand more precisely in the fictional city of Tassing, not far from the abbey of Kiersau, in Upper Bavaria. While we embody Andreas Maler, an itinerant artist, this one is going to be the witness and to say the least implied in several affairs, even going until the murder.

A DA inspired by the illuminations of the time

It is up to us to investigate and discover the truth. Pentiment will also allow us to decide the level of education of Andreashis past and the way he will carry out his investigation which will take place during almost 25 years. Of course, like any good narrative game, our decisions and choices will have a strong impact on the story and its development. In order to solve this mystery, we will be able to sneak into the library of the abbey to look for clues and discover forbidden texts or to go to the tavern to question the inhabitants around a game of cards.

For the graphic design of Pentiment, the developers were inspired by the woodcuts and the illuminations and drawings of the copyist monks in order to bring us brilliantly back to the troubled times of the Middle Ages.

Don’t forget to note on your agenda the release of Pentiment on November 15th on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Windows 10/11, Steam, Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass for 19,99€..
