Sony continues its studio takeover policy and after Bungie, PlayStation gets its hands on Jade Raymond’s studio.
If we know that Microsoft has, for several years, opted for an aggressive policy of buying studios, for some time now, Sony is doing the same and has already made some very nice acquisitions toowith recently Bungie and Housemarque for example.
Jade Raymond joins the PlayStation Studios team
After having financially assisted the studio founded by Jade Raymond (Assassin’s Creed) last year, Sony has finally come full circle, making Haven Studio a new collaborator within PlayStation Studioswhich Jim Ryan congratulates.
Haven Studios is a new studio with a team of exceptional talent, and we are thrilled to welcome them to PlayStation as the very first Canadian-based development studio.
Furthermore, the studio continues to work on a brand new IPa multiplayer service game exclusive to PlayStation which has not yet deigned to give us any news.
The studio’s focus on creating an original AAA multiplayer game will not only harness the power of the PlayStation 5, but further expand the diverse catalog of gaming experiences that can’t be found only on PlayStation
Sony therefore continues to strengthen its ranks while by supporting its strategy of to turn more and more towards game-service. It remains to be seen what this new collaboration will give.
