Always in search of optimizing its console, Sony is cleaning up the features forgotten by all, or almost.
This time not a major update with a crazy amount of additions, but a vacuum cleaner to remove the dust in the menus of its console. Sony has just announced the death of a feature that was not very useful.
Say goodbye to braces
So, it’s the accolades, those thanks you could send to players you met online, that will be removed from next fall. As can be read on the official website, the braces clearly did not meet the expected success, but Sony hopes that the community will continue to send little messages of love between two parties.
In the fall of 2022, the Accolades feature on PlayStation 5 will no longer be supported. The feature has not seen the level of use we anticipated, so we are refocusing our efforts.
So Sony is passing on the sweep and preferring to focus on much more solid thingslike the upcoming PlayStation Star, its in-house loyalty program which will allow players to get their hands on some nice rewards while playing.
